Desert Bloom Swan

Desert Bloom is a swan-neck mosaic lamp built around a sapphire blue cabochon anchoring a burst of orange and amber cut-glass tiles, set into a dense field of scattered multicolour beadwork. Hundreds of small beads in red, green, yellow, and cream fill the surface around the star, catching light in every direction.

Turn it on and the oranges glow warm from within like sun on desert sand. The sapphire center becomes a bright cool point in the middle of the warmth, and the whole globe reads like a wildflower blooming somewhere it wasn't supposed to.

Every lamp in the Swan-Neck Collection is made by hand in Canada — a twisted brass rope stem curving from a footed base up and over the globe, holding it like a lantern in mid-air. No two are cut, set, or coloured the same way. When this one sells, there isn't another like it.
