Maple Star Swan

A teal-and-orange star set in a field of ivory beads.

Maple Star is built around an eight-point star in teal and burnt-orange glass, ringed by warm orange diamonds and set into a cream-and-ivory field of hand-set beadwork flecked with cobalt and red. The globe hangs from a twisted brass rope stem that curves from a footed base up and over, holding it like a lantern in mid-air, with a filigree drop hanging below.

Turn it on and the star warms through — the orange rays glow like embers, the teal points hold cool at the center, and the ivory beadwork lights up soft around them. In daylight it reads crisp and autumnal; after dark it becomes a floating star in a bed of cream.

Every lamp in the Swan-Neck Collection is made by hand in Canada. No two are set, coloured, or finished the same way. When this one sells, there isn't another like it.
