Red Poppy Swan

Red Poppy is set with bright red flowers of hand-cut glass, their petals opening across a dense confetti field of multicolour hand-set beadwork in gold, green, blue, and red. The globe hangs from a twisted brass rope stem that curves from a footed base up and over, holding it like a lantern in mid-air, with a filigree drop hanging below.

Turn it on and the poppies bloom red against the warm, speckled glow of the beadwork, the whole globe lighting up like a wildflower meadow. In daylight it's bright and busy with colour; after dark it becomes a floating field of red blooms.
