Sapphire Star Swan

A blue-and-teal star set around a cobalt heart.

Sapphire Star centers on an eight-point star in blue and teal hand-cut glass around a faceted cobalt gem, set into a cream confetti field of multicolour hand-set beadwork. The globe hangs from a twisted brass rope stem that curves from a footed base up and over, holding it like a lantern in mid-air, with a filigree drop hanging below.

Turn it on and the star lights up from the center — the cobalt gem glows deep, the blue and teal points brighten, and the cream beadwork scatters little flecks of colour across the room. In daylight it reads crisp and jewel-toned; after dark it becomes a floating sapphire star.
